We got new living room furniture.
I'm thrilled.
But sad.
Because it means the end of me and my friend the recliner.
The relationship really took off back in '07 when I was in nursing school. I would sit for hours in that chair, reading notes and highlights and basically freaking out over tests. Then, as nursing school ended, I found myself pregnant. I reclined a lot and also abused it a lot trying to get out of it. It basically broke the chair.
Then early motherhood rocking, with lots of nursing attempts where everyone involved cried, then bottle feedings, reflux, sniffles, vaccines, and late nights.
Sadly, Ol' Friend won't be with me through this new baby's late nights, but hopefully the new furniture will be old someday and remind me of even more memories that I've yet to even make.
We have 24 days to go until Operation: Meet Baby!
1 Thoughts:
We had good old furniture that my Husband and I bought in 1996 and one iten was the 'fluffy chair' (my kids named it). we got rid of the couch in 2009... got rid of the love seat in 2010...and finally late last year said goodby to the 'fluffy chair'! I have to say I was so sad to see it go! We had it longer than any of my children and it was the best to lounge in!
